Croston Community Resilience to Flooding

Lancashire County Council have been working with partners to assist Croston, a local village that is situated within a flood risk area.

Croston village has been affected by flooding for decades, the most recent significant flooding event happened in June 2012 and September 2012 where over 70 properties where flooded.

This case study examines the partnership approach taken to secure funding for a village flood pump, warning system and volunteer training.
