Through partnerships with Envirolink, Quantum Strategy & Technology and AECOM and POS Enterprises Ltd CLASP has developed a comprehensive package of resources for planners to promote best practice and inform planning service delivery. This includes:

Planners Low Carbon Technical Support Resource Pack
The low carbon technical support resource pack has been produced as part of the CLASP technical support and training programme for North West Local Planning Authorities, delivered by Envirolink, Quantum Strategy & Technology and AECOM.
It has been designed specifically for planning officers and allied local authority professionals to augment the technical training programme. It consists of strategic and technical reference guides and case studies, which are designed to promote best practice and support and inform planning service delivery.
The documents in this pack contain useful information, data and resources which officers can refer to when developing climate change and low carbon planning policies, appraising energy statements or determining planning applications for renewable energy projects.

Shared Learning Groups for Planning Officers 2010/11
The supported learning group provided tailored training and development for 16 Local Planning Authorities in the North West to explore different aspects of planning for climate change at a practical level, and consider how policies can be developed which are effective and readily applied in relation to development proposals.
Four meetings were held by POS Enterprises Ltd which included a mix of presentations from specialist speakers as well as the opportunity for discussion and exchange of practice.

Shared Learning Groups for Planning Officers 2011/12
Following on from the popular training and support sessions delivered as part of the Climate Change Skills Fund Programme CLASP are pleased to announce that a series of additional training workshops will be delivered in 2011/12.
The first of the series will focus on increasing your skills, knowledge and confidence of CSH and BREEAM and how all the codes and assessment techniques fit together through a series of practice based learning sessions and facilitated discussion led by Quantum Environmental and Technology Ltd with specialist input from Camco.
